Spiritual Materialism is cancer.
Happiness is within.
Stop wasting your life.

An Alternative Buddhist Community

It seems like everyone is looking for a deeper answer but stuck in the same routine.  I don’t believe that our purpose for existence is to get a job, make money and raise a family.  I guess you could say that I never found much appeal in the rat race.

I always believed that there had to be something more and that even if I was wrong, it wouldn’t matter because if this world was simply as it appeared it wasn’t something that I wanted to be a part of anyway.

After traveling the world, being a monk, studying the world’s great religions, living at a retreat center for a year, doing vision quests and taking Ayahuasca, I came back into a world that quickly and subtly shutdown whatever spiritual momentum I had gained.

Everything in society is created to keep you entangled in society's level of consciousness. The truth is it takes time with spiritually minded friends, the study of ancient wisdom, healthy food, exercise and many other things in order to get to whatever that next level is. The more you are conditioned, the more you are subject to outside influence.

As someone who was born into an ashram and devoted most of his life to spiritual purists, I’ve gone to war with a lot of darkness. After high school, I wanted to be an MMA fighter and found some solace in that. Then I found that through meditation I could go even deeper within myself, which was just as intense but without harming others.

My hope now is to find like-minded individuals so that we can build a community not based on gurus and trendy philosophies but on deep wisdom teachings that can be directly experienced. This is not meant to be a community of perfect people; it is a community of flawed individuals who are committed to uplifting those around them and doing good deeds.

The more you are conditioned, the more you are subject to outside influence. As anyone who has ever struggled from addiction knows, only when you separate yourself from the things that easily trigger you do really have a chance to heal.
